Please prepare a brief monologue (preferably 1 ½ minutes or less).

Please bring a picture & resume, stapled together.

2010-11 season. All roles are available (i.e. not yet offered and accepted) unless otherwise indicated. For pre-cast roles, auditioning performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.

A Behanding in Spokane by Martin McDonagh. Dir: Joseph Adler. 1st reh: 9/14/10. Runs 10/23-11/21.

The place: A seedy hotel room in Spokane, WA. Time: The present.

Mervyn:

25-40. Hotel receptionist. Fast-talking lunatic.

Marilyn:

22. Pretty. Toby’s girlfriend.

Carmichael:

CAST. 45-60. Homicidal maniac. Has spent the past years searching for his left hand, from which he was involuntarily separated by"six hillbilly bastards" who lived to regret their little prank.

Toby:

CAST. African American man, late 20s. Small-time crook.

A ROUND-HEELED WOMAN by Jane Prowse (adapted from the book by Jane Juska). Directed by Ms. Prowse. 1st reh: 12/7/10. Runs 12/30/10 – 1/30/11.

Actor 1:

Plays three roles (mid 60s/late 70s).

Actor 2:

Plays five roles (late 50s - late 60s).

Actor 3:

Plays four roles (early 30s).

Actress 1:

Plays three roles (early 50s).

Actress 2:

Plays three roles (mid-late 30s).

The role of Jane is cast (Sharon Gless).

Sabrina Daldry:

Late 30s. The doctor’s patient.

Annie:

Late 30s. Dr. Givings’s midwife assistant.

Leo Irving:

Englishman, 20s or 30s. Dr. Givings’s other patient.

Elizabeth:

African American, early 30s. A wet-nurse by default.

Mr. Daldry:

40s or 50s. Sabrina’s husband.

Dr. Givings:

CAST. Man, 40s. Specialist in gynecological and “hysterical” disorders.

MASKED by Ilan Hatsor. Dir: Joseph Adler. 1st reh: 6/7/11. Runs 7/2/11 – 7/31/11.

The place: A large Arab village in the West Bank.

Khalid:

18, the youngest brother. New member in the leadership of the resistance.

Na’im:

Mid 20s, the middle brother. Senior member in the leadership of the resistance.

Daoud:

30, the oldest brother. Married, father of a baby. Works in Israel.

THE BROTHERS SIZE by Tarell Alvin McCraney. Dir TBA. 1st reh: 8/2/11. Runs 8/27/11 - 9/25/11.

The place: San Pere, Louisiana near the Bayou. Distant Present.

Ogun Henri Size:

Man of color, late 20s. Name is pronounced “oh-GOON”. Auto mechanic.

Oshooshi Size:

Man of color, early 20s. Name is pronounced “o-CHEW-see”. Ex-con, out on parole. Ogun’s younger brother.

Elegba:

Man, late 20s, Creole heritage. Name is pronounced “eh-LEG-bah”. Ex-con; Oshoosi’s prison mate and best friend.
