Claire:
AVAILABLE ROLE. African American woman, mid 20s – mid 30s. Rock journalist living in Europe at the time of the Civil Rights Movement in America. Powerful and beautiful. The love of Dusty’s life. Must have great soul/rock voice and be proficient with harmonies.

Jerry Wexler / Bob Thackeray:
AVAILABLE TRACK. Note: Character description for this track was updated at 3:15 PM on 8/20/12. One actor plays both roles, 40s. Seeking a versatile character actor who has depth and humor. Ruggedly handsome look preferable, at least 5'8" (e. g. Sam Rockwell type). But also open to actor with a unique quality. Proficient with New York, South African and Northern English accents. No singing required. Jerry: Very powerful, veteran music producer who invented the term “rhythm and blues”. Bronx native. Bob: Respected English music journalist, and the only one Dusty trusts.
Understudy for Dusty Springfield and Becky/Gini:
AVAILABLE POSITION. One actress sought to cover both roles/tracks. Dusty Springfield: Caucasian woman, mid 20s – mid 30s. 1960s British pop music icon. With her towering blonde beehive and soulful voice, she transformed herself from shy awkward schoolgirl into an icon for a generation. Superior soul/rock voice, acting skills and middle class London accent required. Becky/Gini: Caucasian female characters, mid 20s - mid 30s. Becky: Dusty’s manager and confidante. Gini: Dusty’s drug and alcohol counselor. Actress must be able to do both British and American accents. Very strong singing, harmonizing and acting abilities.

AVAILABLE POSITION. One actor sought to cover both roles/tracks. Tom: Caucasian man, mid 20s - early 30s. Dusty Springfield’s brother and founder of group The Springfields, where Dusty adopts her name. A great talent in his own right. Strong singer and actor needed. Please be able to harmonize.
