All roles are available:

[Joshua Marton / Lawrence Malerry]:
Joshua: Male. Age 18. Tall and chubby (a very big boy) with low muscle tone. He has severe autism and experiences life through his heightened visual and aural senses. Very limited language skills. Most of the time he is happy, which he expresses in guttural noises, reciting lines from favorite videos, head tilts and what will be referred to as his “happy dance” – large movements with his shoulders back and forth. When frustrated, he becomes dangerous to himself (biting his hand) and those around him (hair-pulling, choking, physical attacks). Lawrence Malerry: Fresh-faced case-worker with the Department of Child Services. Earnest and easily confused, Lawrence shares some interesting similarities to Josh.

[Lisa Marton]:
Seeking actress 18+ to play a 16-year-old girl. Lisa is Joshua’s sister. Trying desperately to be a normal teenage girl in an abnormally difficult environment. Deals with stress by eating – she is not slim. Typical teen sarcasm is fueled by a raging inner emotional life.

[Tami Marton]:
Female. Mid-40’s. Josh and Lisa’s mother. A part-time real-estate agent. Small and tightly wound – a control-freak in an uncontrollable world. Like a soldier on the front line, she is constantly alert for possible danger; when it comes she handles it calmly and professionally. Alcohol is her crutch.

[Bill Marton]:
Male. Mid-late 40’s. Josh and Lisa’s father. He lets Tami call the shots and is mostly comfortable playing second-fiddle. Works in middle-management at a manufacturing plant. He deals with his atypical home environment by eating, drinking, and making jokes. Not overly handsome or fit.

[Grammy Sue]:
Female. 60’s. Bill’s mother. Her strong Christian faith is never a joke; she believes in the power of prayer and divine intervention. She has a broken toe and is using a walker, but is otherwise in good shape for her age and is mentally sharp. She truly wants to help, but really doesn’t know how.
