AVAILABLE ROLE. Man, 40s. Well-meaning social worker who tries to help Elling and Kjell to live in the real world.
Understudy for role of Reidun Nordsletten:
AVAILABLE POSITION. Character is a woman, late 30s – early 40s. Pregnant upstairs neighbor. Good-natured, if slightly trashy. Actress also plays Institutional Worker and Waitress.
Understudy for roles of Alfons Jorgensen and Frank Asli:
AVAILABLE POSITION. Both characters are men. Track age range: 50s-60s. Alfons: Retired poet. Smart, somewhat manipulative. Makes friends with Elling. Frank: See description above.
Understudy for roles of Elling and Kjell:
AVAILABLE POSITION. Both characters are men. Track age range: Late 30s – early 40s. Elling: Neurotic, anxious, sensitive would-be poet. Was entirely dependent on his mother before her death, and has never lived on his own in the real world. Kjell: Good-natured, simple-minded, sex-obsessed gentle giant. A virgin.
