SEEKING:
Ed
(Male, early 20s). Pleasant looking. A bit meek. A charming George Bailey quality to him – you see him, you like him. Curious and delighted by simple things, like a child. His interior is all on the exterior – what you see is what you get. Then, when he has to conceal his affair, what you see is a bumbling mess. Celebrity type – John Krasinski but less sarcastic.
Selene
(Female, mid to late 30s). Visibly older by a decade (than ED). Brisk. Severely pretty. Precise. British. But not cold – just someone with the exacting clarity of a doctor. Not spontaneous or surprising. A deep inner-world of consideration. Important that she not be a stereotype of a British prig whom ED should cheat on. She is the equal and opposite force that is RUBY. Celebrity type – Younger Rachel Weisz or Holly Hunter
Ruby
(Female, early to mid 20s). Either a little bit younger than ED or a little bit older. Brash. Says the first thing that spills out of her mouth. Messy and sly. Not so carefree as to a be dismissible as a pixie fling – but passionate person with obvious flaws when she gets carried away. Captivating and warm. A liar. Celebrity type – Aubrey Plaza, Audrey Tautou, Allison Pill
