The play is set in the present in suburban Connecticut.

Seeking (all roles are available):

Sandra Cabot:

Caucasian, middle-aged. Pronounced “Saundra”. Very fit, sexy, cutthroat. Wears a Chanel Fantasy tweed suit, tweed jacket, tweed skirt, pearly glasstone drop earrings, a lace camellia brooch, lambskin gloves, a Rolex, and patent leather sandals.

Wilma:

African American, 30. Wears a tasteful uniform, but nothing suggesting the maidservant that she has been hired to be. She is adept at reciting Shakespeare.

Dr. Bertram Cabot:

Caucasian, middle-aged. Mostly bald, with wisps of hair. Wears a loose linen suit and white bucks.

Dirk Von Stofenberg:

Caucasian, 50ish. Vigorous dealmaker wearing Nantucket reds, a summer blazer, a club tie and topsiders. He is fit and handsome, possesses a thick head of hair, looks younger than his age.

Cora Cabot:

Caucasian, 26. Tall, oddly beautiful. Wears a simple, knee-length black shift. Tied around her waist is a small, dark, velvet pouch. She is barefoot. Her hair is dark, as are her eyes. She wears no makeup, save for a bit of black eyeliner, and is in general a bit ghostly.

Celeste Von Stofenberg:

Caucasian, 50ish. Sweet. Wears a light cashmere sweater and pearls, nice trousers. Her beauty is slightly obscured by her shyness.

James Von Stofenberg:

Caucasian, 30. Despite a clean shave and severely combed hair, he is a bit forlorn-looking. Rarely makes eye contact with anyone, and seems generally haunted. Wears simple pants and a long- sleeved collared shirt, no tie, soft shoes. Uses a cane and walks with a limp.
