SYNOPSIS: Don Pedro, the illegitimate son of the late King of Feotidus, must be removed before he discovers his legitimate claim to the throne. How better to do this than to send him to the remote village of Piedra de las Rocas in search of five wise men to assist him on an impossible quest for glory and riches? He arrives to find that only five men exist in the entire village, none of them terribly gifted in any of the arts of adventurism. Ever the optimist, Don Pedro plunges forward with his quest. That is, until the villagers discover the disturbing truth; the Crown wants Piedra de las Rocas to be his caretaker for “the full term of his life as determined by local law and custom.” Now the “wise” men must by their own ham-fisted methods determine the fate of Don Pedro de la Cebolla.
