Notes from casting personnel: ALL CHARACTERS MUST SING! This is a musical. All MUST be versatile with comedic flair. Also must be able to carry tight harmonies. Actors must be available to audition and rehearse in NYC. All actors signed to Actor/ASM contract.
Harold:
Seeking actor 18+ to play a big-hearted dog. Harold may not be the smartest, but he has a sweet nature, and is a true friend. Baritone, comfortable up to G.
Chester:
Seeking actor 18+ to play an erudite cat. Chester is jittery and aloof, with a taste for reading. Tenor.
Mrs. Monroe:
Seeking actress 18+ to play an all-American mom, a snooty dog and a scrappy cat. Belter w/soprano mix.
Mr. Monroe:
Seeking actor 18+ to play an all-American dad, a snooty dog and a veterinarian who means business. Baritone, comfortable up to G.
Toby:
Seeking actor 18+ tenor to play Toby, the younger of the two Monroe boys. Toby is 8 years old, sensitive and energetic. Actor also plays Pitbull, a rough-and-tumble dog. Tenor.
