Equity Principal Dancer Auditions use Equity Chorus Call procedures. A sign-up list for AEA Members will be posted at the Actors' Equity Association Audition Center at 9:30 AM on Thursday, October 7 and removed at 5 PM on Wednesday, October 13. The Equity Monitor will read out the list at 3:30 PM on audition day. Those on the list must be present with their current Equity cards when their names are called. Members who cannot sign the list must check in with the Monitor by 4 PM in order to be guaranteed of being seen.
Please be warmed up and ready to dance when the call begins. Please wear comfortable clothes and sneakers. Also bring tap, jazz and ballet shoes
Please bring a recent picture and resume, stapled together.
This call is for children only. Equity calls for adult roles and chorus positions are held separately by another casting office. Seeking the following role only at this call, for possible future replacements in the Broadway company:
Billy: Age 9 – 12, any ethnicity. Maximum height 4'10". A boy with a gift for dance. Working class, not posh. Requirements: Unbroken voice. Excellent ballet ability. Tap and/or acro a plus.
CONCESSION: Equity has granted an auditions concession to the producer. Equity Members may request a copy of the concession's full text from the Equity Auditions Department.
