Tiger Understudy:
AVAILABLE POSITION. Male, mid 40s – early 60s. Tiger is scrappy, ragged, tired but still frightening and dangerous. His better years are long gone. Underneath the ruff exterior, there is a deep sadness and a satirical wit and humor. This understudy covers Robin Williams.
Musa / Uday / Iraqi Man Understudy:
AVAILABLE POSITION. Male, 30s. One actor covers this track. Musa: Former Iraqi gardener, turned war translator. Innately humble, honest, with a kind spirit. His anger and thirst for justice over the horrors that have befallen his family threaten to shatter his seemingly unbreakable patience and tolerance. Uday: Saddam Hussein’s cocky and heartless son. Iraqi Man: Level-headed Iraqi citizen who allows himself to be submissive and compliant to save his family.
UPDATE, posted 12/15/10: PLEASE NOTE: Actors in this track MUST speak Arabic.
UPDATE, posted 12/6/10: Position of Tom/Kev Understudy, previously listed as available, has now been cast with the performer who held this position in a previous LORT production. Sides for this track will not be provided at the EPA.
