Equity chorus dancers (Male characters) for BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL (See breakdown).

PREPARATION

Please wear comfortable clothing, soft sole shoes (no athletic shoes). Choreographer of the production will be present to teach a dance based on a Drifters number. Also, please bring your headshot and resume stapled together. Please list any instruments you play on your resume.

BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL

For this production, our goal is to create a diversified, versatile Ensemble in a positive work atmosphere that is built on mutual respect and collaboration.

Note about BEAUTIFUL Ensemble: Except for the Principals, Ensemble members play the rest of the parts in BEAUTIFUL. Everyone sings, has to move well and be a versatile actor/singer. The talents of every Ensemble member will be on view. These are really good parts, with great pop songs to sing in stellar arrangements. Understudy assignments will be given to some Ensemble members after all casting is complete.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT ENSEMBLE PARTS: Actors interested in playing The Drifters or The Shirelles should plan to do both the singing/dance auditions. Almost all actors in BEAUTIFUL are in the Ensemble and play multiple roles. Ensemble members play The Drifters, The Shirelles, The Righteous Brothers, Neil Sedaka, Dick Clark, Betty (a childhood friend), Lucille (Donnie’s secretary), Genie Klein (mom), Little Eva, Marilyn Wald, Lou Adler, studio singers, etc. Understudy assignments for principals will be assigned to Ensemble actors when casting is complete.
