In her 60s. Emotionally violent, addicted to narcotics, a very fierce woman with a cutting sense of humor; bordering on vulgar. This actress must be comfortable with swearing, smoking and must be physically fit, as there is a very physical fight and she also has to climb up and down a lot of stairs. Deanna Dunagan on Bway.

Maddie Fae:

55-65. Violet's sister. Fleshy, blousy, loud, funny and self-deprecating. Rondi Reed on Bway.

Ivy:

40s. The daughter who stayed home, resentful, a loner. Sally Murphy on Bway.
