Seeking:

William Wheatley:

Early 30s. Charismatic, intelligent bari-tenor. He starts as a naïve, earnest first-time theatrical producer and gradually becomes a decisive, creative and risk-taking businessman. Could have a young John Cusak quality – more of a character lead. Should have a vulnerability to him, as well as an inner strength that shines through. Lead role.

Millicent Cavendish:

Late 30s/early 40s. A star actress, though a tad too old for the ingénue roles she has been playing. She’s a strong, independent woman who lives her professional and personal life on her own terms. A bit of a diva. Strong soprano mix. Great comedic timing. Lead role.

George C. Boniface:

Mid 20s, very handsome. Millicent’s current boy toy. A fresh-off-the-boat, naive quality to him. Charming, a bit of a Dudley-Do-Right. Good comedic timing. Strong pure tenor.

C.H. Morton:

50s, a comic character actor/singer. Baritone. He and his wife Rose are theatrical troupers who have been touring the provinces together for decades. Looking for a very strong character type with an unforgettable face.

Rose Morton:

50s. A comic character actress/singer. woman. CH’s wife. She and C.H. have trod the boards for decades. A strong and very funny woman. Heart of gold despite her sarcastic exterior. Lots of experience can be seen on her. Strong mezzo-soprano mix.

MME. Grimaud:

40s/50s, the Ballet Mistress of the Ballet Francais Spectaculaire. She is a strong, determined survivor. Attractive and charming. A flair for the spectacular and all that is fantasy. Strong mezzo-soprano mix. Speaks English with a French accent.

Roman Korda:

50s. Hungarian. Handsome and cultured. He is currently the pianist for the Ballet Francais Spectaculaire, but in reality he is a very talented composer whose music has gone out of fashion. Strong baritone voice.
