Harlem, 1920s - 1930s. Ain't Misbehavin' pays joyous tribute to the talents of the legendary Fats Waller. This is a musical showcase rather than a show with a plot. Seeking: 3 African-American Female Singers who move well and can handle jazz and blues vocal styles. Nell (alto), 30-40. Confident, charming and worldly. Armelia (soprano), 25-45. Voluptuous. Charlaine (alto), 18-30, dancer. Sweet, young and innocent. Seeking: 2 African-American Male Singers who move well and can handle jazz and blues vocal styles. Andre (Bass - Baritone), 25-40, slender, seductive mover. An unrepentant party hound. Ken (Bass), 25-40, larger, a physical embodiment of Fats Waller. Jovial, loud, larger than life.
