Seeking:

Elizabeth Adams:

Late 40s, early 50s. Beautiful. Vivacious, lively victim of her need to be loved.

Johnny “Duke” Adams:

Elizabeth's brother. Handsome, with the look of success about him. But a gambler who never grew up.

Donald Wolfkowitz:

Self-made man, the American dream come true. Good businessman whose father worked on the farm.

Amy Adams:

Elizabeth's daughter. A dreamer. Young and full of hope, even if she comes from this old American family.

Vanessa Adams:

Elizabeth's adopted daughter. So timid that she is ready to accept the least, while working the most.

Charlotte:

A tutor. Becomes part of a family while never really belonging to anything or anyone. Seems to know much more than she says.

Peter Warner:

Eternal student. Has many degrees, and will become a teacher, if he ever gets a job. He is an idealist. Being a perennial student, he can afford to be.

Robert Adcock-Smith:

Neighbor. Comes from a very old family. And he shows it.

Simon Tuschman:

Accountant. Believes in bad luck.

Wanda San Juan:

All-around caretaker, does everything. Lovely. Dreams of finding love, having a family.

Elsworth:

The ancient caretaker. Born on a farm. Gentle, loyal. Irascible.

CJ:

Young, foreign man whom Elizabeth has brought with her. Wants to get ahead. Will do well in America.
