1st Rehearsal 9/13/11. Closes: 10/30/11.
Seeking:
Jim Foley:
40 dramaturge. Fast-talking, bitter, and irreverently hilarious. He has become jaded in his work due to a lack of appreciation. Hates that his life consists of reading bad scripts and, as a result, he endlessly seeks methods of avoiding actual work. He loves to show off his knowledge flamboyantly.
Heidi Bishop:
25, an intern in the literary department. She is energetic, efficient, but somewhat naive in her desire to help people and immediately improve things. She recently received and M.F.A. in Dramaturgy. Absolutely loves dramatic literature and history, and is deeply ambitious to secure a full-time job at the theater to prove her father wrong.
John Braschi:
35, the general manager of the theater. Never went to college and has a small chip on his shoulder for those who did. Desperate to escape non-profit theater for the lucrative potential of Broadway. On the surface he is all smiles and charm. Beneath that veneer, he is ruthless and manipulative.
Tina Fike:
63, a famous playwright. Little patience for anyone who isn’t supporting on her script, but quick to appreciate those who do. She is attracted to Heidi.

Seeking:
Ken Salmon:
An unproduced playwright, 30s. Melancholy and seemingly fragile, but capable of ironic humor and sudden bursts of enthusiasm.
Pete Vitale:
Ken’s Landlord, 50s. A divorced, unemployed construction foreman. Active in community youth activities. Rough-edged with an expansive, good-humored manner.
Wendy Salmon:
Ken’s wife, 30s. Stunningly beautiful. We see her only through a series of email messages.
Seamus Yoshida:
Pete’s best friend, 50s. Owner of a jewelry store. Half-Japanese, half-Irish. Married, but unfaithful to his wife. Blunt and cynical.
Phyllis Salmon:
Ken’s mother, an interior designer. 60s. On the surface, she is sophisticated, unsentimental, and emotionally tough.
