John W. Engeman Theater Northport (LI) NY LOA $399/week minimum. Free RT transportation provided from Manhattan to Northport during tech and run.

Tuesday, September 6, 2011 Pearl Studios NYC “500”

10 AM – 6 PM 500 Eighth Avenue, 4th Floor

Lunch from 1:30 – 2:30. New York City

Please prepare a brief song from the show, or other appropriate musical theatre song. Bring sheet music in the correct key; accompanist is provided, but may not transpose.

Please bring a picture & resume, stapled back-to-back.

Seeking (all listed roles are available, and will be considered for Equity contracts):

George Bailey:

Ages from early 20s - late 30s. Wholesome, charming and sincere; very much the “everyman” of Bedford Falls. Seeking strong actor with a lyric baritone voice.

Mary Hatch:

Ages from late teens - mid 30s. George’s wife. Pretty in a simple, unassuming way, with an inner glow. Seeking strong actress with a beautiful soprano voice.

Henry Potter:

Ages from mid 50s - late 60s. Acerbic miser. Seeking strong actor who sings well (baritone).

Clarence:

40s-50s. Well-meaning innocent with a cherubic quality. Very low in the “angel hierarchy”; hoping to “earn his wings”. Tenor.

Tom Bailey:

Early 50s - early 60s. George’s father. Kind-hearted, content with life. Seeking strong actor who sings (high baritone/tenor).

Uncle Billy:

Ages from mid 40s-60. Bumbling, disheveled and absent-minded. Seeking strong actor who sings (baritone).

Harry Bailey:

Ages from late teens - mid 30s. George’s younger brother. All-American; handsome and athletic. Seeking a strong dancer and singer (high baritone).

Milly Bailey:

Ages from early 50s - late 60s. Matronly, kind and devoted wife and mother. Alto.

Sam Wainwright:

Ages from early 20s - late 30s. Self-assured athlete with matinee-idol looks. Successful. George’s friend. Seeking a very strong dancer and singer (baritone).

Joseph:

Mid 50s. Distinguished gentleman. At the top of the “angel hierarchy”. Gentle, commanding presence. Seeking strong actor who sings.
