Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, along with honorary chairs Aurora Abella Austriaco and Pamela Cullerton, announce the company's 10th Bold Moves for Bold Women event on Thursday, March 14 at 5:30pm, at Baker & McKenzie, LLP (300 E. Randolph St., Suite 5000, Chicago). For 35 years, Hubbard Street has ensured that women artists, and their unique perspectives, are seen and heard by identifying and supporting female leadership onstage, in area schools and at the Lou Conte Dance Studio.

Hubbard Street has provided women with countless opportunities for artistic success, professional development and community engagement, and is honored by the support of Bold Women co-chairs Martha Gardner, Karen H. Lennon, Betsy Stelle Morgan, Sarah J. Nolan and Carter Sharfstein. Nearly two dozen additional women in business, entrepreneurship, arts administration and law comprise the Bold Women host committee, including Bold Women in the Arts and honorary members Nan Giordano (Giordano Dance Chicago), Melissa Thodos Johnston (Thodos Dance Chicago), Gail Kalver (River North Dance Chicago), Kathryn M. Lipuma (Writer's Theatre), Lynn Osmond (Chicago Architecture Foundation), Deborah F. Rutter (Chicago Symphony Orchestra), Sophia Siskel (The Arts Club of Chicago) and ReGina Taylor (Goodman Theatre).

In March 2012, 250 attendees helped the ninth annual Bold Women event raise $55,000 in support of Hubbard Street's education, community and artistic programming. Bold Moves for Bold Women kicks off the company's Spring Series at the Harris Theater, featuring a World Premiere Shared Program and collaboration between Hubbard Street and Alonzo King LINES Ballet (see below for program details). Tickets to the event at Baker & McKenzie plus premier seating at the Harris Theater are $200, plus main-floor seating $150. Event-only tickets are available for $100. Contact Jeanne T.
