Breyan Isaac - a songwriter/producer/artist whose compositions have been recorded by such stars as Justin Bieber, French Montana, Austin Mahone, Flo Rida, Nicki Minaj, Nelly, Pitbull, 2 Chainz, and David Guetta - was a recent guest presenter at SAE Institute Miami's "Behind The Mix" lecture series. Isaac discussed how songwriters and audio engineers collaborate to create hit songs.

"Our 'Behind The Mix' seminars give students who are enrolled in SAE's Audio Technology Program an opportunity to hear tips and gain knowledge from prominent music industry insiders," says SAE Miami Campus Director Marcella Holness. "These presentations and workshops provide students with valuable real world insights, excellent networking opportunities, and professional development to help make them career-ready once they graduate."

32 students from SAE's Audio Technology Program attended the two hour presentation at the school's campus on West Dixie Highway. SAE has offered two "Behind the Mix" seminars in 2015. Presenters have included SAE Miami grad and owner of Harmonic Music Media Group Gary Bannister, who has provided engineering services for such artists as Fat Joe, Young Breek, Gorilla Tek, Henry Santos, and Elvis Crespo.

"It was great having Breyan, who's a three time BMI Songwriter of the Year recipient, at SAE Miami to share his experiences and advice with our students," says Mark Samuels, Director of Career Development & Industry Engagement at SAE Miami. "Many of audio engineering students also aspire to become songwriters and producers, and Breyan was able to show the connection between these disciplines and how they mesh in a studio environment. Having access to Breyan's real world insights and perspectives will give our students a levelheaded outlook as well as a competitive edge when they're ready to enter the audio production industry."
