NBC Sports Group begins its coverage of the 2017 America's Cup Match this weekend on NBC, as defending champion ORACLE TEAM USA squares off against Emirates Team New Zealand in a rematch of the historic 2013 event.

NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app - NBC Sports Group's live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs - will provide comprehensive streaming coverage of the 2017 America's Cup.

ORACLE TEAM USA aims to defend the America's Cup for a third consecutive time, following one of the most dramatic comebacks in the history of sport at the 2013 America's Cup. In 2013 in San Francisco, ORACLE TEAM USA and skipper Jimmy Spithill trailed Team New Zealand by a score of 8-1, before winning eight consecutive races to stun the sailing world and retain the oldest trophy in international sport.

The 2017 America's Cup Match, presented by Louis Vuitton, is a best-of-13/first to seven points event. NBC Sports' coverage begins Saturday at 1 p.m. ET with Race 1 and Race 2 on NBC, and continues on Sunday on NBC at 1 p.m. ET with Race 3 and Race 4 on NBC.

Coverage continues the following weekend on NBC on Saturday, June 24, and Sunday, June 25, with Races 5-8, beginning at 1 p.m. ET on both days. NBCSN will televise further races, if necessary, on Monday, June 26, and Tuesday, June 27, at 1 p.m. ET.

Veteran announcer Todd Harris will anchor NBC Sports Group's coverage on-site from Bermuda's Great Sound during the America's Cup Match, presented by Louis Vuitton.

For the second consecutive time, NBC Sports Group will employ the Emmy Award-winning AC LiveLine graphics package to provide viewers real-time on-course information throughout the event. Created by the same Emmy Award-winning team that developed the yellow first-down line widely used in the broadcast of football, this revolutionary graphics system enables embedded technical aids for viewers, such as ahead-behind lines so audiences can clearly see who is leading the race.

AC LiveLine won an Emmy Award for technical achievement in 2012. In addition, the live broadcasts of America's Cup class racing were nominated for the 2013 Emmy Awards and 2012 Royal Television Society Awards.

NBC Sports Films will premiere Courageous, a documentary chronicling media pioneer and sailing maverick Ted Turner's quest to win the 1977 America's Cup this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC, immediately following coverage of the 2017 America's Cup Match.

While suspended from running the Braves and working through the infancy and challenges of early cable television with his SuperStation, Turner became fixated with winning the 1977 America's Cup. The unconventional pioneer bet his reputation and image on the victory, and saw GLORY in a 4-year-old boat and a crew that others had written off.

Courageous features interviews with Turner, his America's Cup crew members, and sailing historians. Additionally the film includes archival footage from the 1977 America's Cup and Turner's multifaceted career, an interview with Braves legend and current Atlanta Braves Senior Vice President Hank Aaron, as well as never before seen footage and interviews.
