On the heels of the success of the breakout series 60 DAYS IN and Live PD, A&E Network's LEAH REMINI: SCIENTOLOGY AND THE AFTERMATH premiered last night to 2.1 million total viewers and 1.1 million viewers Adults 25-54, making it the network's #1 new series launch in more than two years. The original docuseries also attracted 913,000 viewers in Adults 18-49, according to Nielsen Fast Cable Ratings. The series premiere also ranked among the top new unscripted launches on cable in 2016 to date. Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath was also the #1 trending series on Twitter in the hour.
The eight-episode, hour-long series follows Leah Remini, along with high level former Scientology executives and Church members, as they delve deep into shocking stories of abuse, heartbreak and harassment experienced by those who have left the church and spoken publicly about their experiences. New episodes of Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath air Tuesdays at 10 PM ET/PT.
The premiere episode of Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath was the #1 original series launch on A&E since the launch of
BIG SMO on June 11, 2014, which followed a
DUCK DYNASTY premiere during its peak.
