STRANGER THAN FICTION - Premieres Monday, November 21 at 10/9c on ID

In 1991, bubbly, kind-hearted Jackie Galloway disappears from her Sarasota, Florida home. Her strangled body is found the next day, bound in a ritualistic series of knots. Police investigate an elderly benefactor, a jealous boyfriend, and an angry landlord but come up empty. They fear the case may not be solved. Then a chance encounter with a prowler leads them to discover that the killer had a macabre obsession with death and was using a best-selling novel to teach himself how to rape and murder, with Jackie's slaying as just one horrifying step in his education.
