Hallmark Channel Sets 2014 Original Movie Schedule

Continuing as the nation's #1 destination for exceptional family entertainment, Hallmark CHANNEL unveils its 2014 Original Movie programming slate, which will include 15 Original Movie World Premieres in Q2-Q4. Hallmark Channel, consistently ranked #1 for quality family-friendly programming, is positioned to continue expanding its original programming and maintain its status as a cable leader with its highly rated Original Movies that over 86 million subscribers have come to expect and love.

Among the 2014 programming slate will be the seventh installment of the network's highest-rated movie series, "The Good Witch's Wonder," starring Catherine Bell and Chris Potter, as well as the return of "Countdown to Christmas," Hallmark Channel's must-see original holiday movie lineup. The announcement was made today by Michelle Vicary, EVP, Programming for Hallmark CHANNEL and Hallmark Movie Channel in New York City at its annual Upfront.

"Our original movies will continue to uphold the reputation and brand of Hallmark CHANNEL as 'The Heart of TV' by engaging our viewers with heartfelt, meaningful family movies," Michelle Vicary, EVP, Programming for Hallmark CHANNEL and Hallmark Movie Channel. "We are committed to providing new, original stories that the whole family can watch and enjoy together, which is what separates our network as the leader in quality family entertainment."

"As Hallmark CHANNEL continues to grow and succeed with a variety of new series and programs, we are dedicated to giving our audience the original movies that have made them loyal viewers for many years, and will continue to keep them coming back to the network for many years to come," Vicary concluded.

A RING BY SPRING
Always cynical of marriage, a confident business consultant finally gets a wake-up call when a fortuneteller predicts she will have a ring by spring, or she will never marry. After her steady boyfriend breaks up with her days later, claiming she isn't marriage material, she has to face the fact that she is afraid of marriage and needs to change. As she scrambles to avoid a destiny of a lifetime alone before it's too late, she meets a friendly guy at her new job, and finally opens her mind, and future, to the possibilities of love. LUCKY IN LOVE
When Mira's April Fool's Day tricks materialize, she finds herself promoted to the perfect job, dating the perfect man and living in the perfect home. Mira's newly upgraded life even involves working with her CEO, and her good friend, on a coveted work project. When these seemingly positive changes result in big challenges, Mira realizes that the pursuit of perfection is a fool's errand. In order to achieve a life that's perfect for her, Mira must let go of perfection and chase what brings her true happiness. Stars: Jessica Szohr, Deidre Hall and Benjamin Hollingsworth. A LESSON IN LOVE
Megan Mills is crushed to realize that her career-driven priorities have cost her the bond with her family. When her husband Mike leaves her and enrolls at the same college as their twins, Megan joins the college bandwagon to make up for lost time. Stars: Kristy Swanson and Scott Grimes. MOTHER'S DAY OFF
A stay-at-home mom decides to finally chase her dreams and spends Mother's Day weekend away from home. During her time away, she learns that living a glamorous life won't bring her happiness without her family by her side. Stars: Bonnie Somerville and James Tupper. Premieres: Saturday, May 10 @ 9pm ET/PT, 8C.

OH SAY CAN YOU SEE
Fireworks go off when Amy Peterson comes home to help save her family's annual 4th of July celebration and discovers she really does love the man who she left to pursue her dreams of being a journalist. There's just one problem: he's engaged to be married to her best friend, and Amy has been asked to be the maid of honor. Stars: Meghan Markle. Premieres: Saturday, June 28 @ 9pm ET/PT, 8C.

MY BOYFRIEND'S DOGS
The owners of a small diner are surprised one rainy evening when just after close, a young woman wearing a wedding dress with three dogs begs to come into their restaurant. What follows is the young woman's retelling of how she arrived at this curious junction in her life, how through the search for the right man, ended up as a runaway bride with three new dogs. Stars: Erika Christensen. Premieres: Saturday, July 19 @ 9pm ET/PT, 8C.

STRANDED IN PARADISE
After losing her job in corporate America, Tess Nelson embarks on the non-refundable Hawaii vacation she's already paid for. A trip to paradise turns out to be a nightmarish vacation, except for the attractive young man who keeps crossing her path and the slow discovery that fate has a different plan in mind for Tess than the one she's been planning. ON PAPER
An idealistic, young book editor reluctantly moves to Los Angeles to edit a famous author's latest romance novel. FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE
Wendy Hartline is finally starting to settle into the single life. After a difficult season of grief following her husband's death, she's taken over the family business of coordinating memorable weddings. Then the charming and incredibly frustrating Marco Amorini opens a legal practice - specializing in divorces - right next to her wedding chapel and stirs up everything. THE GOOD WITCH'S WONDER
In the seventh installment of Hallmark Channel's highest-rated Original Movie Series, Catherine Bell returns to star as Cassie Nightingale, the benevolent, kind-hearted witch living in the small community of Middleton with her husband Jake and three children. While helping to plan the wedding of her stepson Brandon and raising funds for Middleton's new botanical gardens project, Cassie takes in a mysterious woman named Audrey who has drifted into town. Coinciding with Audrey's arrival, Middleton is soon faced with a number of challenges that Cassie can't solve with magic alone. Stars: Catherine Bell and Chris Potter. ANGEL ON MY TREE
When Carrie, a hopeless romantic, wishes on a Christmas tree ornament for a great romance, she doesn't expect it to materialize into a choice between three suitors and a quest to find her true love before Christmas day. Stars: TBD. Premieres: Saturday, November 1 @ 8pm ET/PT, 7C.

COWBOY FOR CHRISTMAS
Having missed the last few Christmases at her home in New York City, Holly Jensen is ecstatic to go back and finally introduce her executive boyfriend to her family and have the perfect Christmas Day. But things don't quite go according to plan when on the ride home she meets a handsome Kentucky Cowboy who comes with her to New York and forces her to think twice about her future. Stars: TBD. NORTHPOLE
"Northpole" tells the charming tale about a reporter who, with the help of her son and his teacher, recaptures the joy of the holiday season and in the process saves Christmas. Stars: Tiffany Amber Thiessen, Josh Hopkins and Bailee Madison. Premieres: Saturday, November 22@ 8pm ET/PT, 7C.
