Amanda Freitag and Ty Pennington return to continue their mission of helping classic American diners across the country in American Diner Revival, premiering Friday, November 27th at 9pm ET/PT on Food Network. Over 14 episodes Ty and Amanda will help local towns lend a hand in saving their struggling neighborhood diners, utilizing a combination of Ty's design expertise and Amanda's culinary knowledge. With the help of the residents, Amanda and Ty only have a few days to transform these classic diners in desperate need of a physical and menu makeover, and give deserving owners the surprise of a lifetime with a new chance at success.

"Ty and Amanda's passion for updating these classic establishments with a new menu and décor brings struggling owners hope," said Bob Tuschman, General Manager and Senior Vice President Programming, Food Network. "Viewers will be amazed to see how communities can come together to turn around the fates of these beloved diners."

In the premiere episode, Ty and Amanda visit Jack's Cafe in Westwood, New Jersey, a classic 1940s boxcar diner that's missing out on New York City commuter business because of its bland and boring food. To help turn it around, the kids of this modern-day Brady Bunch family have conspired with Amanda and Ty to give their mom and dad's diner a hip makeover while they are away for the weekend. But when the rain clouds roll in, the team's plans may go off the tracks. Other diners in need of a desperate makeover during the season include The Hermitage Café, a once hoppin' late night hangout in Nashville, but lately it looks more like a haggard historic eyesore with grimy grub and drab decor. Ty and Amanda only have two days to clean up this dirty dive, amp up the funky and make it functional. In Kearny, New Jersey, The Greeks diner has been feeding the hardworking men and women for almost 50 years, but now this mom and pop diner is in danger of closing its doors because of its overindulgent greasy spoon fare. Amanda and Ty need to degrease the Greeks with a working class transformation and updated, hearty Greek items. Don't miss all the excitement, heartfelt moments, and amazing transformations, as Ty and Amanda visit diners in Charlotte, Miami, New Orleans, New York and more.

Amanda Freitag graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and has been a highly successful chef in New York City for more than 20 years, working in popular restaurants such as Cesca, Gusto and The Harrison. She appears on Food Network as a CHOPPED judge, and has battled Bobby Flay on Iron Chef America. Her first cookbook, "The Chef Next Door: A Pro Chef's Recipes for Fun, Fearless Home Cooking," was released in September 2015.
