One of the busiest people in San Antonio theatre right now is Nicole Erwin, who was recently appointed Executive Director of the Overtime Theatre. She is also executive director of Texas Light Opera, which is co-producing Make Me a Musical at Performing Arts San Antonio, and has launched her own production company, Aria Creative Productions, to produce independent play productions.

If that weren't enough to keep her busy, she is also acting as musical director for Make Me a Musical, and is negotiating with two regional opera companies about future co-productions She was recently selected to sing with Opera San Antonio in the 2016 season, while also singing with the San Antonio Symphony Mastersingers, The Greater SA Chamber Choir and the USAA choir. On top of that she is a private voice instructor and vocal coach at Performing Arts San Antonio (PASA) teaching all styles of music, and was recently selected to teach "Magik Glee Choir" for The Magik Theater.

She recently took part in two stagings of Juan Carlo Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors.

The one thing that unites all these activities is the desire to encourage new talent in San Antonio and introduce San Antonio to new stage works. The Overtime Theatre is well known for its efforts to produce new works by local or relatively unknown writers, while Texas Light Opera is committed to producing new musical works.

Nicole's first efforts as a producer with Aria Creative Productions will be the staging of a play called The Last Waltz, about Alzheimer's. A cast of leading local actors has already been lined up for the play and Nicole is currently looking at venues for its world premiere.

Another world premiere - a play called "The Lady of Shalott", inspired by the classic narrative poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson - will be staged at the Overtime in October.
