German producer TheFatRat unveils 'Jackpot,' his latest EP. Out now via Universal Music Sweden/Germany, the four-track EP flaunts a lively blend of electronica and progressive house, mixed with the influence of the Gaming Music genre that TheFatRat has helped pioneer.

Rooted in the YouTube community and video game culture, the rising Gaming Music genre's sound incorporates electronic elements with cinematic melodies and 8-bit hooks. With the help of hits from TheFatRat and Alan Walker, - the latter's record breaking single 'Faded' has amassed over half a billion Spotify streams and topped several European charts - the genre recently flew into the spotlight, steadily crossing over from an emerging genre into the mainstream. Says TheFatRat, "Video games have such a huge impact on todays culture and they are getting more and more acknowledged as an art form."

Dubbed by Billboard Magazine as 'Wildly energetic and genre-bending electro', TheFatRat has built a massive following for himself, impacting the digital Gaming Music sphere through a bevy of acclaimed self-releases. With a number of top tracks on huge YouTube channels including Mr Suicide Sheep and Trap Nation, his music has been used in over 1.5 million unique YouTube videos by a range of creatives - leading to over a billion unique views to date. His 2015 release 'Unity' has received over 70 million YouTube views and 14 million Spotify streams, whilst follow up single 'Monody' has garnered over 50 million YouTube views and racked up 8 million Spotify streams to date.

Now signed to Universal Sweden, TheFatRat's 'Jackpot' EP marks the next start to an exciting chapter for the German producer. Already at #5 on the iTunes Dance Charts, 'Jackpot' overflows with bright, layered synth melodies and cinematic horns. The title track sets the tone, followed by a similar template of rhythmic bounce in "Epic." Melodic hooks and bubbling basslines are provided by "Prelude" finally succeeded by "Elegy," the only vocal track on the EP, laced with emotive lyrics and sharp synth hooks.
