Equal parts Ariana Grande x Ella Fitzgerald with songwriting chops and a voice well beyond her 22 years, Canadian singer-songwriter Nikki Yanofski will release her Wyclef-produced Solid Gold EP October 28th via A440 Entertainment. Stream/Share HERE
The stunning collection - which features lead EP single "Young Love" - is the latest step in her transformation from incredible child prodigy to bona-fide pop player.
Today she shares the stunning new single "Miss You When I'm Drunk" with NYLON. Eloquent and soulful, the track transforms experience in love and heartbreak into unforgettable melodies. Nikki speaks intimately about her inspirations for the new single, reflecting on a very personal (& very relatable) lovelife experience:
"My boyfriend and I broke up for about two weeks, two years into our relationship (we have now been together six years). Needless to say, those two weeks sucked. I'd tell myself I was fine during the day, but then I'd sleep in his t-shirts and with the teddy bear he got me at night. I wrote a song about how the truth really only came out when I went out and was at the same bar as him."
