Maybach Music Group/Atlantic Records rapper Stalley will release the "Honest Cowboy EP" on September 17th at all digital retailers. The EP which marks the Ohio native's first retail release will be released on the same day as "Self Made 3," the collective Maybach Music Group album, which Stalley is featured on. "Honest Cowboy EP" comes weeks after the release of the much buzzed about mixtape of the same name, which XXL praised by saying, "With instrumentals that serve as ideal cruising music, Stalley uses Honest Cowboy as an opportunity to showcase his growth and ingenuity as a lyricist." The "Honest Cowboy EP" features the stand out tracks, "Swangin' (feat. Scarface)" and "NineteenEighty7 (feat. ScHoolBoy Q)."
Adding to all this excitement, Stalley recently received a nomination at the 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards in the "Best Mixtape Category" for "Honest Cowboy." (check local listings) What's more, Stalley has been added to the line-up for this year's Rock The Bells festival, performing at the famed festival as it makes stops in Los Angeles (9/7), San Francisco (9/15), Washington, D.C. (9/29) and New Jersey (10/5).
Stalley paid exceptionally close attention to detail when it came to the artwork for "Honest Cowboy," enlisting photographer Robb Kendrick, who is known internationally for his work with National Geographic and his signature photographs of cowboys using the unique technique of "tintype."
Known for always wearing an Ohio-affiliated fitted hat, Stalley recently teamed up with New Era for their "#WearYourAllegiance" campaign, which also features rapper, Curren$y. The campaign sees Stalley travelling to Cleveland, OH where he shows fans why he chooses to represent his hometown every chance he gets.
