To mark the release of Hourglass-the debut album from MAKO (Alex Seaver and Logan Light) out today December 9 on Ultra Music-comes "Run For Your Life." The newest single from the pair-who's music averages over 1.5 million Spotify plays monthly--is three minutes of pop genius produced with the help of Norway's Rat City and features a guest vocal from Natalola.

"We hit it off immediately at a writing session for another artist - and put something on the books at our own studio soon after," says MAKO's Alex Seaver. "I don't think I've ever written songs quicker than I have with Nat. We were also very fortunate to meet a Norwegian collective of producers called Rat City that helped collaborate with us on the production. They are responsible for that disco-indie-dance flair which picked the song up for us so much."

With Hourglass lies a distinct hybrid musicality layered with their diverse backgrounds and unique interests stepping MAKO forward to present a new, consolidated sound. Dig into "Let Go Of The Wheel" where a serene guitar-and-piano combo pair beautifully with Seaver's love-hued lyrics which explode as he sings of simpler times and future days or "Wish You Back" featuring Kwesi, an emerging singer-songwriter from
Scooter Braun's Cobra
Other album standouts include "Smoke Filled Room," MAKO's breakthrough single which soared into pop and dance radio airplay charts via continuous support on SiriusXM's BPM and iHeartRadio's Evolution channels and landed at #1 on the Dance Airplay chart; "North Dakota," a stunning and unique soulful ballad about finding solace outside of the big city; And "Craziest Day I Ever Had," a hilarious tale of misadventure in Los Angeles. With all these tracks and more, MAKO have garnered over 20 million Soundcloud plays and 100 million combined plays on YouTube.

About MAKO:
In an era where unexpected ingredients thrive, MAKO (Logan Light and Alex Seaver)offers a truly unique experience. Before an introduction was made, the two budding artists spent their early life progressing musically in radically different worlds. Alex attended The Juilliard School on full scholarship as musician and played with some of the world's elite classical artists in the most storied of venues. Meanwhile, Logan was quietly mastering the art of DJing and within only a few years, began opening for some of dance music's biggest international acts, including Tiesto and Avicii, and major appearances including Lollapalooza. The duo's first release
"Beam" quickly circulated on blogs and YouTube, logging more than 5.7 million views to date. The track was featured on SiriusXM's Beta Test Tuesday which then prompted them to proclaim MAKO is "the next big thing." Since then, MAKO has found themselves in studio with some of dance music's top artists: Avicii, Steve Angello, Sander Van Doorn, R3hab, DubVision, Heather Bright,
Le Castle Vania and many others.
