BATS Improv presents Warp Speed, an improvised "trek" on Saturday nights, July 5, 12, 19 and 26 at 8pm at the Bayfront Theater (B350 Fort Mason Center, San Francisco, CA 94123).

Warp Speed is a completely improvised salute to the classic sci-fi TV series of the 60s. Its mission: to explore new characters, to seek out new dangerous and intense relationships, and to boldly go where no improv has gone before. Instead of seeing Kirk and Spock (or spoofs of Kirk and Spock), audience suggestions will beam aboard an all-new crew of characters, created and introduced on the spot.

Like every show at BATS, nothing will have been pre-planned or discussed in advance. There are no "stock characters" or pre-determined plot points or situations. Everything from the plot, to the dialogue, to the characters, to the music -- and even the lighting cues -- will be made up on the spot.

Public Information: Tickets are $17 general admission, $20 at the door, and are available through the BATS website www.improv.org or by phone (415) 474-6776. Email - bats@improv.org

Founded in 1986, BATS has become the premier improvisational performing company and improv training school in the Bay Area, attracting more than 12,000 audience members and 1,300 workshop enrollments every year. www.improv.org
