Check out Daniela Liebman's recent performance on "Good Morning Dallas": Daniela is the 11 year-old pianist who will be making her Carnegie Hall debut on our Carnegie Hall program today, October 27th.

Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, 11 year-old phenom Daniela Liebman began to study piano at the age of five. At age seven, she was named a winner in the eight to ten year old category at the Parnassos National Piano Competition in Monterey, Mexico. Her competition success has continued, and she has begun her solo career with festivals and orchestras around the world. Daniela made her solo concerto debut in 2012, performing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 8 with the Aguascalientes Symphony. She went on to perform it again that year with the Jalisco Philharmonic, the Flademex Orchestra in Dallas, and the Rachmaninov Orchestra of the Kremlin in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. In 2013 she returned to the Jalisco Philharmonic to perform the Shostakovich 2nd Piano Concerto - to a standing ovation.

In December, 2012, Daniela participated in a gala concert at the National Arts Center in Mexico City. She has appeared on CBS Dallas television, and national broadcasts of Univision and Telemundo. The Duo Petrof has featured her in concerts in San Diego, CA; Red Bank, N.J; Dallas, Texas; Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan; and various concert halls throughout Mexico. She has been featured at the Schlern International Music Festival, where she was the youngest participant, and the Elan Music Festival in Dallas.

Upcoming engagements include the Shostakovich 2nd Piano Concerto with the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony in October 2013 on the Perelman Stage for her Carnegie Hall debut. On June 20th, 2013, Daniela will receive the prestigious, "Pedro Sarquis Merrewe" Award for Fine Arts in Guadalajara, Mexico.

In March of 2011, Daniela won first prize in her category at Spain's Night in Madrid Competition. Other competitions include First Prize in the Young Artists category at the 2012 Russian Music International Piano Competition in San Jose, California. She was a First Prize winner of the 2012 Lang Lang Telefonica Competition, and played a live concert with Lang Lang and Herbie Hancock at the 02 Theatre in Berlin.

In addition to playing the piano, Daniela loves to read, ride any roller coaster she can find, play chess, and play with her Pug, Chester. She lives in Guadalajara, Mexico.
