National treasure and all-round polymath Stephen Fry has been confirmed as the British voice of Adam Mansbach's new satirical children's book, You Have to F*cking Eat. He will be joined in the role by Breaking Bad star, Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actor Bryan Cranston, who will narrate the American audio, and comedian Dave Hughes who will voice the Australian version.

All three audiobooks will be released on November 12th, alongside hardback print editions in the UK, US and Australia. British fans are also being given the opportunity to receive the audio for absolutely free, if downloaded from www.canongate.tv before November 19th.

Fry, Cranston and Hughes follow in the footsteps of celebrities including Samuel L Jackson, Noel Fielding, Thandie Newton and Werner Herzog, all of whom saw their recordings of Mansbach's earlier bestseller, Go the F*ck to Sleep, rack up millions of hits.

Go the F*ck to Sleep became the unlikely smash hit of 2011, when pirated files of the lavishly illustrated Goodnight Moon parody were leaked online. They struck a nerve with parents around the world and quickly went viral, passed from inbox to inbox; before long, the physical edition was soaring up the Amazon charts, resulting in a #1 ranking before the book was even published. It has now been on the New York Times bestseller list for over a year, and sold almost two million copies worldwide.

Just as profane, loving and cathartic as its predecessor, You Have to F*cking Eat deals with the other great parental frustration: getting your little angel to eat something that even vaguely resembles a normal meal.Breaking the code of child-rearing silence, it will give parents a much-needed chance to laugh about a universal problem.

Featuring original illustrations by Owen Brozman, it will be published by Canongate in the UK, Akashic Books in the US and Text in Australia on November 12th.

The audiobook is being published in the US by Audible Studios, and is available for preorder at audible.com/eat.
