Tony Winner Andrea Martin to Return to Provincetown, 6/28-29

Andrea Martin is a two-time Emmy Award winner for the critically acclaimed sketch comedy series SCTV, and is also a two-time Tony Award winner. She won her second and most recent Tony Award last June of 2013 for her performance as Berthe in the Broadway revival of "Pippin" directed by Diane Paulus and her first award was for the musical "My Favorite Year." She is currently starring on Broadway at Lincoln Center in "Act One" by James Lapine opposite Tony Shalhoub. She is also filming a new television sitcom "Working The Engels" written by Katie Ford ("Miss Congeniality," "Desperate Housewives") which is now filming in Toronto. On June 28 and 29, this comic star of stage and screen returns to Broadway@ The Art House for the first time since its inaugural season in 2011. Her career began in the US touring company of "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown," in which she played Lucy. During the tour, she visited Toronto Canada, fell in love with the city, moved there and within a month, got cast in the Toronto production of Godspell, in what is now considered the legendary cast; Victor Garber, Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Gilda Radner, Jayne Eastwood and Paul Shaffer, their musical director. Ms. Martin went on to appear in Leonard Bernstein's "Candide" as well as "Private Lives" with Maggie Smith and Brian Bedford at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival Theatre. She won her first Tony award for Featured Actress in a Musical for "My Favorite Year,' and has also been nominated for her roles in "Young Frankenstein," "Oklahoma" and "Candide."

Andrea Martin has appeared in numerous theatre and television productions in Canada, the most notable being, Toronto's "Second City TV," for five years, "The Hart and Lorne Terrific Hour," and most recently, "Little Mosque on the Prairie," both for the CBC. She has hosted every televised award program in the country, is the recipient of both the Canada Walk of Fame and Women in Television and Film awards. For Martin's work in the recent production of "Love, Loss and What I Wore," as well as her one woman show, she received Broadwayworld.com's 2010 best actress and best theatrical event awards. Ms. Martin has also received four ACTRA awards for her participation in SCTV, two GEMINI nominations for hosting the 2007 Winnipeg Comedy Festival and for the CBC miniseries, "St. Urban's Horseman."

Her film credits include, the newly released "Breaking Upwards," "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," (SAG Award nomination and People's Choice Award), "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," "All Over the Guy," Mary Walsh's "Young Triffie's Been Made Away With," "Stepping Out," "Bogus," "Wag the Dog," "New York Minute," both the original and remake of "Black Christmas," and "Cannibal Girls" (co-starring Eugene Levy) for which she won the Best Actress Award at SITGES, the international horror film festival of Spain. Martin co-starred in the television series SCTV for which she won 2 Emmy Awards for writing and received an Emmy nomination for Best Actress. Her additional television credits include "My Big Fat Greek Life," "Ed," and "Nurse Jackie." She is the recipient of 3 American Comedy Award nominations for several cable specials including her own "Andrea Martin Together Again," which also received a Cable Ace Award nomination for writing.

Seth Rudetsky is the afternoon Broadway host on Sirius XM satellite radio. As a musician, he has played piano for over a dozen Broadway shows including "Ragtime," "Les Miserables," and "Phantom of the Opera." He was also the Artistic Producer and Music Director for the first five annual Actors Fund Fall Concerts, which included "Dreamgirls" with Audra McDonald (recorded on Nonesuch Records) and "Hair" with Jennifer Hudson (recorded on Ghostlight Records, Grammy nomination). As a comic he was awarded "Funniest Gay Male in NY" at Stand-Up NY and is a three-time Emmy nominee as a writer for "The Rosie O'Donnell Show." As an actor, he made his Broadway debut in "The Ritz" directed by Joe Mantello, and has appeared on television on "Law and Order C.I." and "All My Children." As an author, he wrote the books The Q Guide to Broadway, Broadway Nights, and just released his new novel My Awesome/Awful Popularity Plan on Random House, and as an audio book on audible.com featuring "Modern Family's" Jesse Tyler Ferguson, "SNL's" Ana Gasteyer, "Smash's" Megan Hilty among others, and writes a weekly column on Playbill.com. He recently added "television mogul" to that long list as SethTV, his new, web-based entertainment network, launched. This past summer he co-produced of the critically acclaimed play Unbroken Circle by James Wesley, and is co-playwright and star of the hit new Off-Broadway 'disaster movie musical' "Disaster!" which recently ran at St. Luke's Theatre in New York.
