My favorite bit:

Once, I had to leave the Broadway production of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof because I'd already committed to a film. But the producers wanted to extend the run, so they started auditioning other actresses in my part.

One afternoon, my male co-star came into my dressing room and said: "You gotta come. You gotta see this, Kathleen." We crept in through the back door of the theatre and watched as Raquel Welch did an audition.

"Well, I just don't think that Kathleen has ever been feline enough," we heard her say. She was going around the stage with her hands like claws, hissing and making cat gestures. Oddly enough, the producers decided not to use her.

I've been sick for a couple of weeks, and as a phlegmatic alto II, my voice is starting to resemble Ms. Turner's.

For unrelated reasons, I'm definitely buying her book.

Oh, please. Cage was the most interesting thing about PEGGY SUE GOT MARRIED.

No good can possibly come from using this vast wasteland of error and deliberate deceit. You should get off of it and warn others away. You should make sure your children and grandchildren know what a corrupt and morally bankrupt institution it truly is.

The only two films Cage hasn't ruined for me are MOONSTRUCK (because otherwise, it's perfection) and NATIONAL TREASURE (shut up).

I find him unbearable. UNBEARABLE!!!!!

It's okay. One of my best friends hates him, too. He think that he was once a good actor, but with every passing year his talent fades, so now he is a talentless oaf.

He was SOO sexy in VALLEY GIRL, back when his teeth were a little askew and he was all gangly and goofy. Still one of my teen favorites.
