"[Hilty] will return to the stage this fall for a one-night-only-engagement of Annie Get Your Gun. The actress also hinted at another, possibly longer running project, that’s being kept under wraps for now. 'I’m doing something else,' Hilty says, 'but it’s going to be announced next week.'"
I recall her mentioning that she was in negotiations for a new play a while back--this may be it!
Otherwise, I think it could possibly be that Gentlemen Prefer Blondes revival, that was apparently close to fruition, but then Sean Saves the World came along.
Annie Get Your Gun is Tuesday October 27, one week post opening of Dames at Sea, so I highly doubt it is that. (She was mentioned in the Dames at Sea casting thread).
I hope it's the revival of "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes"! I think she could snag her first Tony (at the least, a nomination) playing Lorelei! She was a knockout at Encores!, and they could promote it at the concert of "Annie Get Your Gun". And a new play? I would love to see her in a play. She's incredible.
Gstrus, I was the one that mentioned her. I was trying to make a point that just because someone is free doesn't mean they are going into Dames, as that thread tends to think. But that would be exciting. I love hearing her on old scores.

What about The Honeymooner's musical that was supposedly declared "ready for Broadway" after its last workshop that it canceled its tryout at Goodspeed that was to have taken place this summer? Is that still a thing?
Yes, you are correct. Her pilot with Marissa Jaret Winokur was not picked up this season by ABC which is what it was being shopped for. It seemed DOA if you looked at the premise.

It's not Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, I can assure you of that. Beyond that though, who knows?
At least we won't have to wait too long to find out it seems! Regardless, I'm beyond excited for this woman to get back to Broadway! Let's get her that Tony (or at least a nomination). She's so talented I cannot wait to see her bring her talent back to where it can shine.
I've never seen "The Honeymooners"! Is it good? I know we had a mini Twitter conversation a couple of months ago. She has a live album from her debut at the Carlyle made, and she said they were waiting to release it, but this doesn't sound like an album. But it is very vague.

Megan Hilty is just so talented and gorgeous. I feel like she's underrated some what. I hope she ends up as Marilyn in Bombshell when it finally comes to the stage. I want her to play the Witch in Into The Woods or the Bakers Wife. I sort of have this all star revival of Into the woods in mind with Kelli, Megan, Audra and Patti. What a show that would be..
