Why did Billy  Elliot Close? I think its lost gloss was 70% which is still very good


 


where they expcting raves they just did not get.

It ran 3 1/2 years. Very respectable.  Reviews have nothing to do with it.  Some shows close when they stop turning a profit, others wait until they start actively losing money.  


Part of the decision making process is looking at advance sales.  The producers decided they weren't strong enough to continue.  


I wish more shows would go out like this instead of limping to the finish line.


If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Interesting comment was the show was expensive to run due to the Billy School.
