Apologies if this has already been asked, but I'm wondering if anyone has any information about rush or lottery for the Broadway run. Thanks!

No clue about details, but I'm pretty sure the front row of the orchestra was not sold on Ticketmaster, so I'm assuming that's what'll be used for the lottery. They'll probably announce a policy the day before, as most shows do.

Yes, a box office worker pretty early on indicated that it would be lottery.

Their website says they'll have a lottery, but it doesn't have details yet.

On Wednesday, a box office worker said they expect to have lottery details next week.

I don't suppose folks know about this, but is there a history of shows at the Rodgers doing standing room? I'd have no problem standing through it if it meant better chances than the lottery and affordable tickets.

In the Heights sold Standing Room when sold out.  They did it via lotto for the final show.

I asked at the box office yesterday and was told to check back tomorrow or Tuesday, which is when they're planning to have the final details.

While the Rodgers does have space for standing room, you should be aware that it is almost always partial view due to the steep incline of the orchestra. I wasn't lucky enough to see Hamilton off-broadway, so i don't know if the set is multi-level at all, but the mezzanine overhang will essentially cut your view of the stage in half. I stood there for Porgy and Bess, and luckily made friends with an usher after a patron was rude to him...and he quickly escorted me to a side orchestra seat as the house lights went down. Its better than nothing, but certainly my least favorite standing room space on bway

It'll be just as insane as all the Public lotteries but at least it's not digital.

More details.

Rush = a certain number of tickets that might be available from the box office at a certain time, whether at box office open or a certain number of hours before curtain. Usually involves waiting on a line for more popular shows.

Lottery = a certain number of tickets being given out to people whose names are randomly selected. Involves no wait time.

Two completely different things.

What do people not like about the digital lotteries?  Seems like they would be able to keep things more organized that way.

Simply put, the odds of someone winning an in person lottery are much higher than an online lottery where basically anyone can enter.
