Just out of sheer curiousity, what do most people here in BroadwayWorld do for living? I just find it strange that we spend so much time interacting with each other and I don't really know much about you except for your opinions and your avatars.
My guess is most of you work in the business, aspire to, or have other theatre related ocupations such as teaching.
I'm an aspiring actor currently in my senior year of high school.
It depends on where I am. I spend 6 months out of the year in NYC, and 6 months elsewhere (I prefer not to share my location). In NYC, I work odd jobs in theater (stage managing, ushering, acting, playing in the pit, etc.... usually in short runs at smaller theaters) and also work at a Starbucks. In my other location, I am a full-time chef at my friend's restaurant. (He re-employs me every time I move back).
Yea, my life is pretty laid back usually. I'm the kind of person who is gonna end up stabbing somebody if I get too stressed, so I try to avoid those situations. Most restaurant chefs are under lots of pressure, but my friend's restaurant is fairly small and we don't run a huge dinner service.
I don't even want to say how old I am because no one will ever take me seriously on these boards again. I'm a baby, I'll give you that. I'm 15... But if it makes it better, none of my favourite musicals are Wicked, Rent, or Spring Awakening.
