No, she was really happy to talk to me. She said she's pretty lonely and nobody ever talks to her. She gave me her phone number and we started texting a lot. She send me funny pictures of herself doing funny faces and sometimes video of singing tv theme songs (my favorite is when she does WHO'S THE BOSS). Just stuff like that.
She was doing most of the talking. She was telling me how she could put it up in a bun, how she could braid it, how sometimes she like to wrap it around her face and pretend she has a beard (she really laughed at herself when she told me that), and how she combs it 15 times a day. I told her she should be on "My Strange Addiction" and she snorted she laughed so hard.
Hate to interrupt a good snark attack, but I finally saw Newsies yesterday too -- hadn't been able to get a decent discount seat anytime I tried, but snagged fifth row center orchestra for $70 at TKTS yesterday for the matinee.
Yes. I was very impressed with the show -- more than I somehow thought I'd be. I guess if I had any major complaint it would be that I wish they could have done age appropriate casting. I mean it IS about child labor after all, and it's kind of hard to get worked about that when the "children" involved are mostly pushing 25 or 30. Sort of like watching Annie with the orphans cast as 20 year olds so they could have stronger voices and more dance finesse.
Seeing Newsies in April (as per recommendations on here) and really looking forward to it. Patash, great deal on those tickets. I paid almost 3x as much for same kind of seats.
