Honey most definitely crashes into the bells....I honestly don't remember any dialogue around it -- and don't know the script well enough (to my embarrassment) to be able to provide any further info.
When I saw the show a about month ago, I absolutely remember Honey crashing into the bells, but I do not remember there being any line in reference to it. Could be just my memory though.
My recollection of it is Martha and Nick crashing into the bells, whilst furiously making out to enrage George, and he drolly replies, "I think someone's at the door, Martha..."
I don't recall Honey also crashing into the bells, unless I'm confusing this moment for another in script (which I haven't reviewed in years...)
I saw the show again last night after having read the play this past week. The scene between George and Honey at the end of Act II was definitely cut. Perhaps the bells you are thinking of dramamama are those hit by Martha when she's necking Nick?
SPOILER In the production, the act ends with George's “And the west, encumbered by crippling alliances..." dialogue to himself. In the written play (at least the edition I read), Honey is accused of making efforts to prevent her pregnancy (George thinks its pills). Also, cut: George telling Honey his son is dead, thereby commencing his final assault against Martha. I can see why it was cut as it makes the conclusion of the play that much more startling. Still, it's a fascinating scene!
As Martha and Nick walk upstairs, George throws his book against the door chimes in anguish; In all productions until 2005, Honey returns, wondering who rang the doorbell and George comes up with an idea to get Martha, he plans on telling Martha that their son has died. And the act ends as George tells an invisible Martha that their son has died.
In what is labeled the "Definitive Edition" of the script, the second act ends before Honey arrives.
