I hate to say it but Idina memory skills have severely diminished. She has trouble remembering the words to her own songs these days. I'm not too sure if she can remember an entire show nowadays, so I don't think she's the best pick.

Honestly, I think she's a talented lady, but she is so over-hyped.

I am so excited for this! I saw Idina recently in concert and she blew everyone I was with away. She is a star, and she has proven herself time and again.

The idea that anyone thinks they have the right to say her memory has diminished (as if she's 90 years old) is absurd to me. Don't go to the show then, and leave more seats open for me and my fellow Idina fans.

Some people are actors first, concert performers second. In a concert setting, it's much easier to forget the words, since they aren't "coming from the same place" as doing the show, playing the character.

Legendary singer-songwriter Pete Townshend is somewhat notorious for forgetting the words to the songs from his four rock operas, and cabaret darling turned Glee star Darren Criss usually has to turn his songs into a singalong to keep them going.

Also, really? Criticism for forgetting words to songs she's sung 2000 times? That can happen to anyone and everyone. She's not going to get up there and mumble her way through a song in a staged performance. Could it happen that she forgets her words? Yes. Of course. That's hardly a reason for her to be a "bad pick" for this show.
