I know that there are some off Broadway theatres that release their phone numbers to the public. And, I have called them before to inquire about rush tickets (for example calling Barrow Street Theatre to ask about rush tickets for Tribes a while back.) Now, I know that the Nederlander houses do release their phone numbers to the theatre box offices. Would it be an un-kosher move for me to call The Brooks Atkinson to inquire and see if they have any rush tickets left for this evening?
Actually, as per the other thread about rush tickets for Hands on a Hardbody, the worst was that apparently, the box office told Winston there weren't rush tickets, and a couple of hours later, another poster here managed to buy rush tickets for tonight's performance after all! Not that there's any lesson here, probably just the confusion of a show in previews, as someone here already suggested....
