She's an extraordinary talent. If you watch her video about the making of this album, it'll give you more insight on the mood/period she was evoking for it. I hope people take to it, because it's definitely worth downloading. An amazing second album from Shoshana.
Had the album since Monday February 4th. Brilliant BRILLIANT album. SO beautifully crafted. Great vibe and sound. She amazes me always. Had a wonderful skype date with her in August, she really is a shining star.
I love the CD. Gin in Cigarettes is on repeat. Living in LA i'm fortunate enough to see Shoshana live quite often- and the energy she brings to music is like no other act.
She's incredible. I choreographed a dance to "116th" from her last album, at least 10 people came up to afterwards wanting to know who the song was by.
"Gin and Cigarettes" has quickly shot to the top of my "drink and cry" playlist... not that I have one. This album is just perfect in every way -- such emotion and beautifully crafted lyrics and melodies.
Anyone else going to the Scott Alan concert in LA on March 11th? She'll be performing!
It's fantastic! I love that she writes her own music, too. There are far too many EPs and LPs from theater folk filled with uninspired show-tune covers so this is a breath of fresh air.
Anyone going to her release concert on Wednesday, Feb. 20th?
