Anyone remember the Adonis theater on 8th? That's my kind of theater.

Yes. I remember that theater. Never went in but yes, I remember that theater. I used to pass it by on my way home from school. My school was in Hell's Kitchen, back when it wasn't the trendy spot it is today.

I used to go in all the time. And I was a minor. It wasn't about what they were showing. I didn't know any other way to meet gay men.

You have more cojones than I do because I would have never, ever dared go into that or any other theater in that area. I remember the Eros as well. Yeah, I was a minor (and I wasn't out)so that was definitely out of the question.

I love the more serious musicals. Whenever I see a play I wonder when they start singing. I want to be touched by a show. Don't like the happy musicals.

Dark. psychological, gut-wrenching plays. My first favorite show was Wicked. Come a long way.

I prefer ones with stages and seats for the audience. And souvenir cups.

For the most part, musicals with some good dancing. I rarely see plays because my trips to NYC are less frequent but will say that "Doubt" was one of the best things I have seen on Broadway.
