Lyric Opera of Chicago to produce a 5 year Rodgers and Hammerstein production cycle

It was announced today that the Lyric Opera of Chicago will produce 5 Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals over the next five seasons. Beginning this year with Oklahoma (May, 2013), the following seasons will see year end new productions of The Sound of Music (2014), Carousel (2015), The King and I (2016) and South Pacific (2017).
