So I am going to the Broadway district in NYC this coming June for my high school graduation, and I wanted some suggestions for a musical to see...it does not need to be family friendly, but we have already seen THE LION KING, WICKED, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, and THE BOOK OF MORMON at the Pantages Theatre in LA.
If you're coming to NY for the first time, you should really see a hot ticket. Hopefully a good show too, but you want to see something big you can only see in NY. No one needs to return home and tell their envious friends they saw the 17th cast of Rock Of Ages.
Don't book your whole trip, leave room for some last minute decisions. Get tix to one show you REALLY want to see but don't overdo it.
You're a student - take advantage. Join TDF now and you'll be able to book affordable tix in May. And learn about student rush policies so you can take advantage.
I always recommend first timers see a play too. Something classy with good actors you won't see anywhere else.
And finally, if Drood is still running in June, the world would have come to an end so your trip won't happen anyway! LOL
RUkiddingme- Good advice telling students to see a play. My daughter never wanted to see one (always had to be a musical) and finally did when spent one semester studying at NYU years ago. She saw "Equus" and "The Normal Heart" and she discovered how great it is to see a good play.
