Tracy Morgan wants to do Broadway

He just said on The View he would like to do Broadway now that 30 Rock is over. He said he would like to play Dolly in Hello Dolly. I cracked up.

I hope he said something like Ashlee Simpson did years ago when she said she always wanted to do Broadways because she loves Broadways and grew up doing Broadways in school.

If he can sing, he might be fun as Genie in Aladdin.

Maybe a producer should take his joke seriously as punishment for his misdeeds. He wants to stab gays in the throat? Fine. He'll cross-dress in one of Broadway's biggest roles for a leading lady eight shows a week, and like it. That'll teach him to open his mouth.

Hopefully it will be in a play where he has to make out and simulate sex in a three-way with Harvey Fierstein and Bruce Vilanch.

Knowing Morgan, he has already forgotten that entire debacle. Whether he is actively and authentically homophobic or just told a really poorly-thought-out joke he did not realize would be so offensive, I think we can all agree that Morgan (not unlike his television persona) is extremely mentally ill and unstable. I pity him more than I judge him.
