Very possible..Heather Headley's final show is on August 10th 2013 (I have tickets!). I would say that would be a very quick turn around for her to depart the show, do an out of town try out (which I think they are interested in doing, from what I heard in Chicago) and then open on Broadway. Does sound awfully fast.
Bodyguard vs. Ghost though, the latter was very much a technically advanced show and it was probably very expensive to run, whereas Bodyguard is a little bit more classically staged (with a LOT of projections in between..a lot).
As much as I love the show, I really am very afraid of it opening on Broadway. It's just not the stuff for New York audience. Then again Mama Mia does very well so who knows.
