Rush - Sat. Feb 2nd - Once or Spiderman?

*edit* Decided that Book of Mormon probably wasn't going to happen, and am going to try to rush for the evening show of Once (my choice) or Spiderman (my friend's choice). Any idea on what time to get to the theatre in the morning?

I'm heading to NYC on Feb. 2nd and 3rd. I was going to try to do the lottery for Book of Mormon for both the matinee and evening performance on the Saturday (Feb. 2nd).

I was wondering how many people tend to show up for the lottery on a Saturday (I'm guessing a lot), and if there was a show that I might have a chance of winning the lottery for afterwards if I end up losing BOM.

I think BOM pulls their lottery 2 hours before showtime, so I guess my main question is if there is anything that pulls their lotter 1.5 hours before showtime that doesn't tend to have too many people, and is nearby enough for me to enter after the BOM lottery is over.

Thanks!

Hundreds of people show up for both lotteries. There are no lotteries currently drawing 1.5 hours to curtain. Your best bet is to get in the standing room only line right after the first lottery and wait for the evening show. SRO tix are given out an hour before performance, $27.

Yeah, just do standing room. It's your best bet. There might be a smaller number on a Sunday, but there will still be a TON of people.

Thanks for the advice. I don't know if I'll be able to convince my friend I'll be going with to do SRO for Book of Mormon so I think I might try rushing for Once (or something?) instead, and buying a HIPTIX ticket for Drood.

I might still try SRO-ing for the matinee of Mormon though - I guess see what happens.

Thanks!

You'll probably want to get there around 8:30/9 for a matinee, depending on the weather.

Here's how it usually looks at lotto.

Good luck!

Thanks for the photo. After realizing how many people would be there for BOM, I bought a set of hiptix tickets for Drood for the matinee in the end.

However, I think we're going to try to rush for a show at night. I'm inching towards Once, but my friend wants to see the spectacle Spiderman. Any idea which one might be easier to get tickets for/what time I should get there?

Thanks!

It will be easier to get tickets for Spiderman, but Once is better (my opinion). I actually haven't rushed Once, but I've heard to get there around/by 6 am for rush. I know there's a website that tells you what time people get there (I think it's called Rush Report).
