Would you consider Michael Riedel of the New York Post an Op-ed columnist?

(I have to do a project concerning an Op-ed columnist, and I was wondering If he'd be an appropriate choice)

No. "Op-Eds," in their traditional function, express the perspectives of individuals unaffiliated with the conventional editorial divisions of the pertinent publications. Mr. Riedel, as a hired journalist and critic, would not be classified as an "Op-Ed columinist."

He's neither a journalist nor a critic - and most definitely not an op-ed columnist. He's a gossip columnist.
